The Iveco Group was formed in 1975 by the merger of the truck manufacturing divisions of several companies: FIAT Veicoli Industriali (truck production since 1903), Lancia Veicoli Industriali (since 1911), OM (Italy, since 1907), Unic (France, since 1905) and Magirus-Deutz AG (KHD, Germany, since 1904). In 1992 the Australian branch of the American company International, operating since 1950, was acquired.
In Poland Iveco Sp.A is represented by “Iveco Poland Sp. z o.o.”. In 1995-1999 models of this company were assembled in Poland.
