As is widely known, the VIN number contains a lot of important information. Thanks to this 17-character string, we can find out where our vehicle comes from, whether you have an accident-free past and many other things. This check is enabled by the VIN VIN decoder. It is a tool that can be found on many websites on the Internet.

Iveco VIN decoder?

Remember, however, that one VIN decoder in Iveco is not equal to another. People who programmed it used many algorithms. Therefore, we have to reckon with the fact that on one site we get one piece of information, for example about color, and in another, no longer, because it is skipped. Therefore, to have enough certainty about our vehicle, it is best to use several VIN decoders. It’s completely free. We can also go to a diagnostician who will assess the actual condition of our vehicle. However, it is expensive. Therefore, if we are interested in several vehicles, such an expense can be quite large and it is better to use free tools.

Iveco – how did the brand come about?

The Iveco Group was formed in 1975 by the merger of the truck manufacturing divisions of several companies: FIAT Veicoli Industriali (truck production since 1903), Lancia Veicoli Industriali (since 1911), OM (Italy, since 1907), Unic (France, since 1905) and Magirus-Deutz AG (KHD, Germany, since 1904). In 1980 FIAT took over the remaining shares. In 1986, the company took over the Ford truck plant in the UK. In 1987 Iveco acquired the Italian company Astra, specialised since 1954 in the production of heavy tippers and special vehicles. In 1990, the Spanish company Pegaso (since 1947), renamed IVECO Pegaso, and the British company Seddon Atkinson (since 1910), controlled by it, which manufactures special versions of trucks, were acquired. In 1992 the Australian branch of the American company International, operating since 1950, was acquired.

In Poland Iveco Sp.A is represented by “Iveco Poland Sp. z o.o.”. In 1995-1999 models of this company were assembled in Poland.
